. • Big -Flo <br />Engineered • •Capacity <br />• Minimum Maintenance. <br />Red Jacket's Big -Flo submersible petroleum <br />pump -motor unit is an ideal choice for high <br />capacity pumping applications such as bulk <br />plants, loading racks, truck stops, marinas and <br />airports. The horsepower range includes <br />motors of 1-1/2, 2, 3, and 5 HP, with pump <br />capacities from 60 to 260 gallons per minute. <br />The entire line of Big -Flo submersible <br />pumps is designed to give trouble-free opera- <br />tion at their rated capacities. They can be <br />installed in tanks of any practical diameter, <br />buried at any practical depth below ground. <br />Simplicity of design of the entire pump - <br />motor unit cuts maintenance and assures <br />maximum pumping efficiency. There is a direct <br />connection between the pump and the motor <br />shaft to eliminate wear points. The entire unit is <br />lubricated by the product pumped. All parts are <br />machined to close tolerances and every pump <br />is tested to assure it meets performance <br />standards. <br />Product being pumped is under constant <br />pressure from pump to dispensing point to <br />completely eliminate vapor lock. <br />Design Features: <br />A. Conduit junction box provides easy access <br />to wiring for reduced installation time. <br />B. Compression seals at top and bottom of <br />electrical conduit provide a positive safety <br />lock against any product leakage into wiring <br />areas. <br />C. Syphon check valve and syphon tube work <br />in tandem to prevent loss of vacuum when <br />syphoning between tanks. <br />D. Positive acting internal check valve reduces <br />installation costs. <br />Submersible petroleum motors feature <br />hermetically sealed windings encased in <br />stainless steel for long life. Thrust bearing is <br />self -equalizing and self -leveling and de- <br />signed for greater loads than normally <br />encountered. <br />H. Pump features either time proven Celcon® <br />or aluminum impellers, statically balanced <br />for silent, trouble-free operation. <br />I. Entire pump -motor assembly can be <br />changed by removal of four bolts and the <br />plug-in electrical connector for the ultimate <br />in economical and simple field serviceabil- <br />ity. <br />J. Two tank vent ports, 1/4" NPT, 1801 apart <br />allow venting back to the tank and from the <br />tank for testing purposes. <br />K.
