We offer the <br />following revisions for your review an approval. I would like to emphasize that the <br />professional staff of Alliance Environmental Services has over thirty years of expertise in <br />the area of underground storage tank & aboveground storage tank removalfinstallations. <br />site investigation and remediation, emergency response, soil and groundwater sampling, <br />hazardous waste management, transportation and disposal. Our firm is marded as one <br />of the leaders in the environmental engineering and hazardous waste industry. <br />1.) Samples will be collected by Excelchem Environmental Laboratories at the <br />direction/guidance of and in the presence of an environmental health specialist of <br />the environmental health department. It is anticipated that the representative of the <br />department will affix a security seal or evidence tape to the sample. The manner of <br />sampling shall be in accordance with the Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />Recommendations for sampling at routine tank removals, Tape 1, August 1990, as <br />amended, latest edition. All soil samples shall be taken using the appropriate <br />construction assist sampling equipment and protocol (SW -$46), shall be <br />accompanied by a chain of custody form and shall be immediately transported as per <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCS) guidelines to the laboratory for <br />analysis. The samples will be transported on ice at 4 degrees ceisius by the <br />laboratory director of Excelchem Environmental tabs. The laboratory is caddied by <br />the California Department of Health Services for Hazardous Waste Testing and <br />Analysis. <br />2.) Crushing of the decontaminated fiberglass tanks was originally approved by Mr. <br />Doug Wilson, RENS, Supervising Environmental Health Specialist of your <br />department with the condition that the tank portions be transported to a Class lI <br />disposal facility, specifically Forward Landfill. Verbal permission has been obtained <br />from the local fire district (Montezuma Fire District) which has local jurisdiction and <br />
