The contractor performing the removal cannot sample. Please identify <br />a • party sampling firm. <br />2. Crushing the fiberglass tanks onsite at the time of the removal will <br />require written approval and/or a permit issued by the California State <br />Fire Marshall before this activity, can:occur.:,An: alternative for crushing <br />the tanks would be to transport the "whole" tanks to an approved <br />reM-iving facility. <br />3. Any soil proposed • be transported oftite must be hauled as <br />"Hazardous" or self -certified under provisions within Title 22, section <br />66 262.11, Califomia Code • Regulations. Sampling procedures will <br />need to be evaluated by PH,S-EHD. <br />4. A concrete slab is thought ♦ be • the two UGTs. If this is verified <br />at the removal, sollsamples are required from beneath the slab. <br />Soil from under the ends and the center of each removed tank is to <br />have a soil sample collected from no more than four (4') feet below the <br />bottom of the slab (totaling six samples through the concrete slab). <br />Procedures for boring through the slab are to be submitted for <br />approval. <br />S. All soil samples are to be analyzed for TPH as Kerosene -Jet Fuel <br />(Method 8015m) and for BTEX (Method 8020). Detection limits for <br />TPH are to be:50 mg/kg and,0.005 mg/kg for BTEX. <br />
