(Delta), collected three soil samples <br />approximately five and a half feet below the north end of the concrete slab used to anchor the former <br />underground storage tanks at the subject site (see enclosed figure). Methods used for the collection of <br />these soil samples are described in Enclosure A. Ground water was not encountered in any of these <br />hand borings. No odor or discoloration of the soil was noticed in soil Samples Nos. 1 and 2. Soil <br />Sample No. 3 had a slight petroleum odor and was slightly discolored. Soil sample analytical results are <br />summarized in Table 1.
