FACILITY o, • <br />ADDRESS: 3300 Waterloo Road, Stockton <br />PHONE# 209-462-3107 <br />Tank System: 2-10,000 gallon and 1-12,000 gallon Trusco double walled FRP tanks installed in 1993. <br />Tank Monitoring method: Continuous interstitial monitoring— Gilbarco EMC <br />The Gilbarco EMC continuously monitors the annular space between the primary and secondary tank <br />containment (model # 794380-420). The control unit is located inside the building and has audible and visual <br />alarms that alert store personnel when any liquid enters the annular space. When the alarms are activated, <br />personnel can verify from the control unit which sensor is in the alarm mode. <br />Piping System: Double wall fiberglass piping <br />Monitoring Method: Continuous interstitial monitoring <br />The secondary containment is continuously monitored for line leaks from the primary piping with a Gilbarco <br />EMC sump sensor (model # 794380-205) that will activate a visual and audible alarm at the control unit inside <br />the store and activate a positive shut down of the STP. Dispenser pans are monitored for leaks by floats <br />connected to chains that will shut down the dispenser in the event a leak is detected. <br />Persons responsible for doing the monitoring and maintenance of the equipment: The store manager <br />and store personnel are responsible for monitoring this equipment during operating hours. Nella Oil Company <br />approved service contractors that are certified to service this equipment maintain the tank and piping system. <br />All monitoring equipment is tested and certified annually. <br />Monitoring records: All equipment is inspected daily. Fuel inventory reconcilations are performed daily. Any <br />inventory variation exceeding allowable limits are reported immediately and an investigation is conducted to <br />determine the cause of the variance. <br />Training of store personnel: All employees are completely trained upon hire and refresher courses are <br />conducted on an ongoing basis. Employees are trained to notify NELLA Oil Company headquarters <br />immediately if the equipment fails or goes into alarm mode. <br />Response plan: If a leak occurs into the secondary containment of the tank or piping system, an approved <br />service contractor will be contacted to immediately repair the system and an approved NELLA OIL COMPANY <br />contractor using a vacuum truck will immediately remove any product leaked. The recovered product will be <br />placed in drums, properly labeled as hazardous waste and disposed of within 90 days to an approved <br />hazardous waste disposal facility. All hazardous waste removed shall be properly manifested and transported <br />by an approved hazardous waste hauler. NELLA OIL COMPANY personnel shall initiate this response plan. <br />San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health shall be immediately notified of any release. <br />oy/ <br />U <br />
