THIS PAGE DOES NOT REFLECT NEW MONITORING REQUIREMENTS <br />PROPOSED MONITORING ALTERNATIVE L7 <br />FOR SINGLE WALL WASTE OIL TANKS <br />TANK TESTING <br />Underground storage tanks will be tested annually for tightness in <br />accordance with NFPA 329 using a test system approved by the local <br />agency. Tanks will be retested within one year of initial tank <br />testing. Results will be forwarded to the County Environmental <br />Health Department for review. <br />TANK GAUGING <br />Weekly tank gauging will be completed by the Chevron Dealer at the <br />facility. <br />1) Eliminate inputs and withdrawals for a period of 24 hours. <br />Gauge tank prior to and immediately after this period. <br />2) Inventory reconciliation which exceeds an allowable <br />measurement error at any 24 hour period shall require further <br />investigations: <br />Allowable Measurement Error <br />1% of tank size or 5 gallons, <br />whichever is less <br />Should tank gauging indicate a loss greater than specified, the <br />investigative steps outlined in California Administrative Code, <br />Title 23 Waters, Subchapter 16 Underground Tank Regulations, <br />Article 4, Section 2644(F), will be implemented. <br />RESPONSIBLE Chevron PERSONNEL <br />NAME TITLE PHONE <br />Guy Dahlenburg Service Station Dealer 209-931-2186 <br />Chevron Central Maintenance Dispatch 1-800-423-3528: 24 hour emergency <br />number <br />See also "Chevron Leak Response Plan" <br />4 <br />
