The SSHO shall be <br />notified of any on-site emergencies and be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate <br />procedures are followed. <br />•--;:IonT <br />Upon notification of an injury, the SSHO will assess the nature of the injury. If the cause of <br />the injury does not affect the performance of site personnel, operations may continue, with <br />the appropriate on-site field personnel initiating the appropriate First -Aid and necessary follow- <br />up. If the injury increases the risk to others, all field personnel shall be moved to a safe <br />location until further instructions. <br />Activities on site will stop until the added risk is removed or minimized. <br />In the event of a fire or explosion on site, the Fire Department well be summoned. All site <br />personnel shall assemble at ""rally point" a safe distance from the involved area. <br />If any site worker experiences a failure or alteration of protective equipment that effects the <br />protection factor, that person shall immediately stop that particular work activity and repair or <br />replace the failure.
