The RS -232C Serial Interface Communications port permits access to TLS -250 information from remote locations via telephone lines. This serial interface is capable of handling up to 16 polling stations from centralized remote locations (SCC). The output of the serial port can be formatted for teletype or computer (IBM-PC) interface. The teletype output printout displays formatted reports with spaces and headers on most 72 -column printers or CRT terminals. The computer output gives the information in packed data format (without spaces, carriage returns, etc.) and is the most efficient way to interface the CIM.
