Immediately rinse the affected skin with water. <br />Remove any contaminated clothing and rewash the skin <br />if necessary. Do not flush the contaminants from <br />the injured eye into the unaffected eye. Never rub <br />irritated eyes. If the irritation persists of the <br />eye(s) appear damaged, transport the victim to the <br />Hospital. <br />5). Physical Trauma <br />There are several emergency response procedures to <br />assist with victims of physical trauma. Injuries <br />resulting in broken bones, lacerations, <br />unconsciousness, shock, etc... should be addressed <br />by personnel trained in First Aid and CPR. A <br />through description of First Aid procedures for the <br />above listed emergencies is beyond the scope of this <br />Health and Safety Plan. Victims of physical trauma <br />should be treated by site personnel trained in First <br />Aid and CPR call 911 to arrange for transportation <br />to the Hospital. <br />Since most work will be performed outdoors, the <br />hazard of non -ionizing radiation will be present. <br />Sunburns ranging from red, inflamed skin to blisters <br />can occur. Sunscreen can be found in the First Aid <br />kit with the health and safety supplies. It is <br />urged that workers apply the sunscreen to protect <br />any exposed skin during work activities. <br />WIM <br />
