Both primary and secondary pipes shall bear a UL label.
The Western Fiberglass "Semi-Flex"being used as a secondary did not have any imprints
or markings bearing a UL label, thereby not meeting the conditions of approval. As I had
spoken with Mr. Everden, I told him of ways which can resolve issue. First, the location
of the check valve can be relocated so that the system becomes a safe suction, eliminating
the need of secondary containment. Next, the co-flex secondary can be tested so that the
piping system includes an approved secondary containment. Also, the "semi-flex"piping
can be removed and replaced by an approved secondary pipe.
If you have any further questions, please call me at (209)468-3459.
Sincerely,
Dennis H.
