Scaffolds and Ladders shall incorporate <br />the use of engineered and approved materials for their purpose. Metal ladders shall not be <br />used near electrical hazards. Job -made ladders shall not be used. <br />Scaffold erection, moving or dismantling must be done under the supervision of a competent <br />person. A competent person is one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable <br />hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or <br />dangerous to employee, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to <br />eliminate them. <br />11/07/2005 revision 5 18 <br />
