9 0 <br /> KEY PERSONAL AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> PURPOSE <br /> Responsibilities will be assigned and appropriated authority will be <br /> established for the enforcement and compliance with the safety policies and <br /> procedures with in this plan. <br /> PERSONAL <br /> PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT: Edward G. Herbst, HEI. <br /> The project Superintendent reports to the Project manager. He is in charge of <br /> hazardous waste packaging and handling activities and equipment handling. <br /> He is responsible for integrating hazard recognition and control in all work <br /> activities, and is immediately responsible for enforcing the Health and Safety <br /> Plan. <br /> SITE MANAGER: Edward G. Herbst, HEI. <br /> The site manager reports to the Superintendent, as in this case the same <br /> individual fills both positions. He is responsible for making sure that all <br /> activities and services are completed and provided in a safe manner, <br /> according to the contract and county regulations. In addition, he is <br /> responsible for the preparation of the manifest for all hazardous materials <br /> packaged on the site. <br /> SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> All personal are required to have completed the 40 hour OSHA Hazardous <br /> Waste Safety Training before arriving on site. Copies of Certificates for each <br /> worker shall be available. The training will fulfill all requirement set fourth <br /> in the California State Department of Labor and Industry Standards and <br /> Federal OSHA standards for construction and general industries, including <br /> all applicable hazardous waste regulations. <br /> *All personal are required to follow all Health and Safety rules <br /> set herein. <br /> Page 1 <br />
