The monitoring system certification is incomplete since the diesel line leak <br />detector could not be tested due to malfunctioning of the diesel turbine. The monitoring system <br />certification must be conducted in a timely manner. Please be aware that a follow up inspection will be <br />charged at our current hourly rate. <br />Class II Violations: <br />109. Annual monitoring system certification, leak detector testing, and spill container testing was <br />performed on January 15, 2013 and a test report was submitted to the EHD on March 29, 2013. A copy <br />of the test report must be submitted within 30 days of the tests. Ensure that all future reports are <br />submitted to the EHD in a timely manner. <br />112. The diesel UST is not failsafe and does not meet the requirements for annual line tightness testing <br />exemption. Due to malfunctioning of the diesel turbine, the failsafe operation of diesel UST could not be <br />verified at this time. An annual line tightness testing is required unless the UST system is equipped with <br />the following: <br />1. A continuous monitoring system that either activates an audible and visual alarm or stops the flow <br />of product at the dispenser when it detects a leak <br />2. A monitoring system that shuts down the pump or stops the flow of product at the dispenser when <br />it detects a leak <br />3. A monitoring system for piping other than that in UDC sumps (tank top sumps, transition vents, <br />etc.) is failsafe and shuts down pump when a leak is detected <br />Immediately schedule this test and provide 48 hours notification to the EHD. <br />201. No maintenance invoices or repair records were not found on site. These records shall be kept on <br />site for at least 3 years.
