Denney,
It is acceptable to position Smith Pibercast piping closer than 4 -inches if precautions are taken
to prevent the pipes from damaging one another. This may be accomplished by wrapping the
pipe with a'/• inch (or thicker) pied of tubber with it Shore A hardness of 70 durometer or
higher.
An alternate protection method is to simply cut a short length of the containment pipe (8-12
inches) then cut it into two 18011 halves. Bond the 180° half sections onto the outside of the
pipe(s) to be protected in such a manner that they stiffen the pipe and provide an abrasion wear
barrier between the two pipes. Use our standard epoxy adhesive for bonds. -,
If you have further concerns, please feel flee to contact me.
Best rega 51
Michael Conner FE
Applications Engineering
Ph: 501-618-2203
