Tanks were tested and a report of the tests <br /> is included. These tests were conducted using the equipment and <br /> procedures described below during the period July 22 to Septem- <br /> ber 15. <br /> 2.0 Tank Description <br /> A summary description of each tank is shown in the Test <br /> Results/Data section, Table 1 . <br /> 3.0 Test Description <br /> Two test methods were used for tank testing specific tanks. <br /> Descriptions of the methods are summarized below. <br /> 3.1 PETRO TITS <br /> This method measures volumetric change of product in the <br /> filled tank. The storage tank, connected piping system and test <br /> equipment is completely filled to a level 12 to 48 inches above <br /> grade. The equipment described in Section 4.0 circulates the <br /> product from the top of the tank, past a temperature sensor and <br /> back into the tank bottom. This recirculation mixes the product <br /> to achieve an average temperature of the entire product volume. <br /> -1- <br />
