Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Dear Mr. Wilson: <br /> Enclosed is an "Application for Permit" to close the 801-R2U1 underground <br /> tank at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Site 300. Included is <br /> check #001912 in the amount of $90 to cover the fees associated with closure <br /> of the tank system. As we are prepared to begin closure activities on <br /> October 20, your expeditious review and approval is requested. <br /> If analyses from the soil samples taken during closure activities indicate <br /> the presence of soil contamination, remediation plans will be submitted at <br /> that time under separate cover. In addition, the plans for a replacement <br /> retention system will be submitted in the future. <br /> As part of the "Application for Permit" we have provided a summary of events <br /> leading to the decision to close the 801-R2U1 tank system.
