Vo
C7
INTERNATIONAL
TECHNOLOGY
CORPORATION
February 15, 1991
Ms. Kasey Foley
Public Health Services
San Joaquin County
Post Office Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
BP Oil Site No. 11192
New Tank Pit Sample Results
Dear Kasey:
0
IT Project No. 190632
Attached are sample results for hydrocarbons and EDB from the new tank pit at
BP Oil Site No. 11192, located at 1403 Country Club Drive in Stockton.
All seven samples are non -detect for both hydrocarbon constituents and
ethylene dibromide. Total lead was found in every sample. In five of the
samples it was at levels above 5 mg/kg, so I had the lab run Waste Extraction
Tests (WET) on each of those five samples. Those results were faxed to you
late today from Jennifer Payne at Annametrix (San Jose). The WET results show
that the lead is non-soluable. This implies that it is inorganic (i.e.,
natural in origin) and will not leach into groundwater.
The sum results suggest that no fuel components have entered soils in the new
tank pit. Your approval to place new tanks in this pit is requested.
Sincerely,
Dan Wynne
Project Manager
DBW:1 pj
MA:LTR:9542
Attachments: Site Plan
Regional Office
4585 Pacheco Boulevard - Martinez, California 94553 - 415-372-9100
IT Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of International Technology Corporation
