DS -8000 series adhesives are UL <br />Listed for use with RED THREAD IIA <br />pipe and RED THREAD 11 fittings or <br />RED THREAD II secondary con- <br />tainment fittings for petroleum <br />products, alcohols, and alcohol - <br />gasoline mixtures. When joining <br />secondary containment fittings, a <br />special filler, available from Smith <br />Fiberglass Products, must be added <br />to the adhesive. All joints — both <br />product and secondary containment <br />pipe -to -pipe and pipe -to -fittings <br />— must be heat -cured using electric <br />heating collars or chemical heat <br />packs from Smith Fiberglass Products. <br />For petroleum products only, DS - <br />7000 series adhesives can be used. <br />You must add a special filler to DS - <br />7000 series adhesives when joining <br />secondary containment fittings. <br />Electric heating collars and chemi- <br />cal heat packs can be used to speed <br />up DS -7000 series adhesive cure <br />time.
