There is a utility conflict (oxygen supply line) with drill holes DH-4, 5,
and 6 and electrical conflicts with DH-7 (see attached photographs). The white circles with center dots
represent Padre's drill hole locations.
As an alternative to angled drill holes at locations DH-4 thru 7, Padre requests that vertical borings be
allowed. The drill holes will be situated adjacent to the fuel line conduit (within the trench) and advanced to 7
feet and soil samples collected for chemical analyses. This approach will still identify a significant release of
diesel fuel from the product line, if any, and allow for the work to be conducted in a safer manner.
Thanks.
Alan Churchill
Padre Associates, Inc.
3020 Explorer Drive, Suite 5
Sacramento, Ca 95827
916-857-1601, ext. 25
916-857-1602 (fax)
916-952-5421 (mobile)
achurchill@padreinc.com
1
