r
I500 SERIES 10ALIATION INSTRUCTIONS
How the 500C ControllerSystem and 522Remote Monitoring Svsteork
The 5000 Controller System is installed at the gasoline dispenser and is capable of monitoring
up to 3 500 Series sensors. If a fuel leak or high water condition is detected in dispenser
containment, the 500C Controller System will actuate a solenoid that will activate all product
line shear valves. When any of the 3 sensors goes into al (fuel, water or impact),the 500C
Controller will immediately send the alarm status over the dispenser's AC power line. This
transmission will be received by the 522 Remote Monitoring System that is installed inside the '
station. The 522 Remote Monitoring System provides an audible and visual alarm inside the
station to alert the station operator of the problem. It can also be used to shut off power to the
dispensers and turbines in case of fuel leak or dispenser impact. Finally, the 522 Remote
Monitoring System is equipped with an output thatcan alert athird-party monitoring system
such as a TLS-350 that there is a dispenser problem that requires attention(see Installation
Instructions for 522 Remote Monitoring System).
At the Dispenser Inside Station
0C Controller System Signal Transmission 522 Remote
Over AC Poerl' a Monitoring System
Sensors Detect Fuel,Water or
Dispenser Impact Monitors for fuel, water or
Controller Triggers Shear dispenser impact alarms.
Valves if Fuel or High Water Provides visual and audible
Detected ala —activates relays to turn
off AC power if fuel or impact
Controller Transmits all alarm is received.
