The permit has been approved with the following conditions:
1. Contact the local fire department and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for any
applicable permits and requirements.
2. Any changes in information and scope of work must be submitted to EHD for approval prior to
commencing work. All new addenda supersede the previous ones.
3. Contact Michelle Henry at(209)468-3454 to arrange the following appointments (a 48-hour notice is
required for inspection appointments).
• Spill bucket test: Verify minimum 5-gallon capacity and pass a one hour hydrostatic test(or
equivalent). Proper drainage must also be verified.
• Corrosion protection: Verify corrosion protection for direct bury spill bucket prior to backfilling.
Please be aware that the facility cannot receive fuel in the regular tank prior to the EHD
inspection and approval.
4. Since concrete will be broken near the regular tank, a secondary containment test must be performed
on the regular tank once concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
5. Any individual performing the work of a service technician must meet the following qualifications:
a. Possess or be employed by a person who possesses one of several permissible valid, current
contractor's licenses issued by the Contractors State License Board (may be issued to the
installation company), or a Tank Tester's license issued to the individual by the State Water
Board, and
b. Possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at
the work site who possesses a valid, current California UST Service Technician certificate issued
by the International Code Council (ICC), and
c. Possesses a valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s)of the component(s)
being tested, repaired, or serviced.
