419 Series <br />11rop Tube <br />Directs product flow to liquid level when <br />filling a storage tank. Prevents free fall <br />and reduces agitation of liquid when <br />filling. Flange fits between tight fill <br />adaptor riser pipe. Tube extends to near <br />bottom for submerged fill. 2" and 3" drop <br />tubes attach to Morrison 9095A AST <br />Overfill Prevention Valve. <br />Diffuser <br />The diffuser is attached to the end of <br />a drop tube to reduce turbulence <br />and vapor loss during fuel fills. It <br />also acts as a rag catcher. <br />Tank filling, manual sticking, water <br />detection and cathodic protection <br />(with certain models) can be <br />accomplished without any change in <br />procedure or routine. The diffuser <br />will not restrict flow or cause any <br />noticeable difference in filling. <br />Construction Details <br />Aluminum. The valve opens at the <br />initial stage of a fill and transfers the initial slug of air from the hose <br />into the tank above the liquid level. This helps eliminate the turbulence'i <br />created by air being forced through the liquid, which helps reduce <br />a <br />vapor pressure.
