The -JP is basically the standard off the shelf version, an older designation that goes back to
the beginning of the product line. The -TS version (Transition Sump) is a newer designation allocated to custom
versions where the sump is modified for pipe sizes, cover sizes and so on. The UL listing is valid for the 13 -600 -
JP, and Greg is expecting to build and supply that version since we have documentation in hand supporting the
UL Listing. The -TS version is built of the same materials but sizes and dimensions of features may change due
to custom requirements, this may be an over simplification since ZI do not have complete documentation in hand,
but is an essentially accurate assessment. To facilitate the approval process, Greg's thinking is to supply the -JP
version.
From: Robert Huff
Sent: Thursday, May 19, 20112:38 PM
To: Kevin Jorgensen
Cc: 'Greg Matas'; 'Mike Robertson'; 'Kasey Foley [EH]'
Subject: RE: Possible Solution to the Transition Sump Problem at Tracy Truck Stop
This sump has not yet been committed to production. The distributor and C.J. have
asked for a response and agency approval before moving forward. C.J. and Greg
would both like to get the sump scheduled to production today if possible. I
informed him that the approvals may take a little longer than that but if a final
decision is possible let me know and I'll get things going.
C.J. brought in the attached information on a transition sump which may satisfy
requirements for above ground use. The sump is fiberglass below ground and steel
above ground. Greg Matas, whose name appears below represents Shields, Harper and
Co. The U.L. listing is held by S Bravo Systems Inc. I have a call in to Greg to
clarify the meaning of the designating letters at the end of the Model Number -JP
versus -TS. Since I've copied Greg on this email perhaps he could "Reply All" to
6/6/2011
