Highway 12, Lodi, CA 95240 <br /> SUBJECT: Evaluation of Costs Associated with Work Plan Addendum. <br /> Dear Mr. Lockwood; <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) requested in a'letter dated February <br /> 17, 1995, that the cost estimate to complete the approved work scope at the Idlewild Market site be <br /> submitted to your office for evaluation. You concurred with the SJCPHS request during our telephone <br /> conversation in early May, 1995. Therefore, I have included in this letter a brief description of the <br /> work to be completed at the site and enclosed the following documents for your use and review: <br /> 1. SJCPHS letter dated February 17, 1995, <br /> 2. location map, <br /> 3. site map, and <br /> 4. cost estimate. <br /> WORK SCOPE <br /> Install of up to five angle borings, SB-1 through SB-5, to a vertical depth of approximately 15 <br /> feet at locations and angles shown on Figure 2, attached. As approved in the April 4, 1994, work <br /> plan, soil samples will be collected from each boring at five foot vertical intervals and a minimum of <br /> two soil samples will be retained from each boring for laboratory analyses. Soil samples will be <br /> delivered following chain-of-custody procedures to GeoAnalytical Laboratories, Inc., located in <br /> Modesto, California. The soil samples will be analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, total <br /> xylene (BTEX), for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-G), and for ethylene <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL <br />
