Highway 12, Lodi, CA 95240
SUBJECT: Evaluation of Costs Associated with Work Plan Addendum.
Dear Mr. Lockwood;
The San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) requested in a'letter dated February
17, 1995, that the cost estimate to complete the approved work scope at the Idlewild Market site be
submitted to your office for evaluation. You concurred with the SJCPHS request during our telephone
conversation in early May, 1995. Therefore, I have included in this letter a brief description of the
work to be completed at the site and enclosed the following documents for your use and review:
1. SJCPHS letter dated February 17, 1995,
2. location map,
3. site map, and
4. cost estimate.
WORK SCOPE
Install of up to five angle borings, SB-1 through SB-5, to a vertical depth of approximately 15
feet at locations and angles shown on Figure 2, attached. As approved in the April 4, 1994, work
plan, soil samples will be collected from each boring at five foot vertical intervals and a minimum of
two soil samples will be retained from each boring for laboratory analyses. Soil samples will be
delivered following chain-of-custody procedures to GeoAnalytical Laboratories, Inc., located in
Modesto, California. The soil samples will be analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, total
xylene (BTEX), for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-G), and for ethylene
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL
