Boil investigation - Idletirild Market
June 11, 1993
Page -2-
This report includes a discussion of the site background and
a description of the drilling, soil sampling and laboratory
analyses. The investigation was conducted by Condor Earth
Technologies Inc. (Condor) at the request of Mr. Keith Tallia,
Oil Equipment Service, San Andreas, California.
2.0 SITE BACKGROuND
The tanks are located, to a large extent, beneath a building
' foundation (see Figure 2 and 3, Appendix A for tank locations) .
Due to the potential structural damage to the building which may
result from tank removal, closure in place was chosen by the
property owner (Sonny Patel) as the most feasible alternative.
According to Mr. Patel, the tanks contained regular gasoline.
The age of the tanks has not been established.
3.0 SOIL BORINGS
On May 21, 1993, B and F Drilling of Rancho Cordova,
tCalifornia (C57 license #519428) drilled three soil borings at
the Idlewild site under the supervi-sion of a Condor geologist
(see Figure 3 and 4, Appendix A for location of the soil borings
tand cross section) . The boreholes were drilled at a 45 degree
angle using 6-inch O.D. , hollow-stem, continuous-flight augers to
' depths ranging from 10 to 11 feet below the ground
CONDOR
