INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Charles Jacobs of Terminous Market, Inc ,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan for the property at 13889 West <br /> Highway 12, Lodi, California(the site) The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 A plan of <br /> the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> This work plan is prepared as directed by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) by letter dated 01 February 2000 to investigate an <br /> unauthorized release associated with underground storage tanks (USTs) This work plan is prepared <br /> in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the subsurface investigation of UST sites <br /> The purpose of this site assessment is to evaluate the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon impacted soil and/or groundwater at the site This work plan provides a description of <br /> the scope of work and procedures to be used to advance the soil probe borings, collect and analyze <br /> soil and groundwater samples and to properly abandon the soil borings <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 13889 West Highway 12, approximately 200 feet north of the intersection of <br /> Highway 12 and Glasscock Road,Lodi, San Joaquin County,California(Figure 1) The site is within <br /> the southwest quarter of Section 12, Township 3 North, Range 4 East, Mount Diablo Base and <br /> Meridian (Terminous Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1978) <br /> 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The property is currently utilized as the Terminous Market The site is occupied by a one-story <br /> market, a residential dwelling, a tool shed, and a domestic well The site is bordered on the west by <br /> the Mokelumne River, and agricultural property north, south and east of the site The facility <br /> formerly operated two fuel USTs and fuel dispensers The former USTs consisted of one 550-gallon <br /> unleaded gasoline tank and one 550-gallon leaded gasoline tank <br /> 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> On 27 April 1988,two 550-gallon gasoline USTs,were removed from the site by the property owner, <br /> Mr Charles Jacobs The approximate locations of the former USTs are shown on Figure 2 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
