Additional soil was excavated from the piping trench (Pili B) on <br /> July-2, 1990. The resulting pit is 18 feet long, 2.5 feet wide and <br /> five feet deep. Soil from the pit was stockpiled adjacent to the <br /> pit, pending. collection of additional samples. <br /> 3.0 soil and Groundwater Samnlina and Analysis 1990 <br /> (:s <br /> On September 6, 1990, WESTON collected eight soil samples and one <br /> groundwater .sample from the site (Figure 2) . All sampling was <br /> performed in accord with a site specific work plan which was <br /> approved by the San Joaquin County PHS/EHD prior to starting the <br /> work. A detailed description of sampling methodology is presented <br /> in the Field Report, Appendix A.
