The samples will be logged on to a Chain-of-Custody and placed in <br /> an ice chest for transport to a state certified laboratory and analyzed for Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPHG) and Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and <br /> Total Xylenes (BTEX), by methods 8015m and 8020 respectively. <br /> The site work is comprised of three tasks, described below: <br /> TASKS <br /> 1.0 Locate underground utilities within the right-of-way of lath Street and the <br /> proposed area of investigation to confirm that utilities will not impacted <br /> during the investigation. Collect soil samples from a maximum of 8 borings to <br /> an approximate depth of 10 feet below grade (capillary fringe) in the <br /> apparent downgradient direction of the site, into and across 10th Street. <br /> 2.0 After collecting soil samples, collect grab groundwater samples from the <br /> borings. The borings would then be properly sealed with a cement grout and <br /> the street asphalt patched. <br /> 3.0 Prepare and submit a written report summarizing the findings of the <br /> investigation to San ,Joaquin County, Public Health Services-Environmental <br /> Health Division (PHS-EHD). The report will also include the methodologies and <br /> results of the above accomplished tasks which would include: exploratory <br /> boring logs, chemical analytical data, narrative and scaled drawings <br /> presenting the surmised extent of soil and groundwater contamination. <br /> Wright will obtaining appropriate permits from the City of Tracy and PHS-EHD prior <br /> to the commencement of field activities. Wright will also arranged for PHS-EHD <br /> oversight fees to be billed directly to your office.
