Wright <br /> ' Environmental <br /> Services, Inc. <br /> Construction ♦ Engtneenng ♦ Remedwion J <br /> December 12, 2000 , <br /> Project No 4070 <br /> r <br /> M&M Automotive <br /> 60 E 10th Street <br /> Tracy, CA 95376 <br /> Attention Mr Richard Moe <br /> Re: Site Closure Report <br /> 60 E. 10th Street, Tracy, CA <br /> Dear Mr Moe <br /> Wright Environmental Services, Inc (Wright) has prepared this Site Closure Report at the request <br /> of the County of San Joaquin Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD <br /> letter dated October 23, 2000) Previous reports are on file with the PHS-EHD regarding the <br /> removal of contaminant-impacted soil discovered during underground fuel storage tank removal <br /> Three monitoring wells currently monitor the site <br /> Site Background - <br /> One 550-gallon and one 285-gallon underground storage gasoline tanks (with associated piping <br /> and dispenser) were removed from the site on November 12, 1991 by Tank Protect Engineering <br /> Analyses of soil sampled collected approximately 9 feet below each tank revealed a maximum of <br /> 7,400 parts per million (ppm) Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPHG) and 44 ppm <br /> Benzene and Lead at 15 and 26 ppm Approximately 8 cubic yards of soil was excavated at that <br /> time PHS-EHD reviewed the results of the samples and requested a site assessment be <br /> performed to define the extent of the contamination (see attached Tank Protect analytical data) <br /> Wright dnlled Ar bonngs and converting three to permanent monitoring wells for the initial site <br /> assessment in 1994 Groundwater monitoring has been on oing at this site since 1995 <br /> Additional site assessment was conducted by Wright in 1996_(1ng and sampling 7 borings and <br /> installing one monitoring well), and one final boring drilled in July 2000 Data from MW-1 <br /> showed contaminant presence, however, off-site borings in 10th Street showed that contaminants <br /> were not detected Monitoring well MW-4 across 10th Street showed only one detection of <br /> degraded TPHG since 1996 Historic data shows that groundwater flows northerly and that the <br /> plume was small and centered at MW-1 On the basis of the collected data, the dissolved plume <br /> was small and located in the vicinity of the former tank pits, with very limited migration under <br /> I M Street (see Figure 1) <br /> Page 1 <br /> 67 E 10th Street • Tracy,CA 95376 <br /> 209 833 0758 ♦ Fax 209 832 5152 <br /> wngh[@rnreach cam Lic #651501 A-B H=Mat <br /> websit http 11home inreach comhvnght <br />
