CA 95202 <br /> Subject IV&N1 Automotive. 60 E Tenth Street Tracy CA <br /> Dear Ms Oz <br /> Per your letter dated July 23. 1999, you requested manifests for contaminated soil <br /> disposal and information regarding the contaminated groundwater analysis <br /> A total of 277 71 tons of contaminated soil was disposed at Forward Landfill for the <br /> above referenced site Enclosed are copies of all the manifests (Attachment A) <br /> Groundwater was observed seeping into the excavation from the bottom and sidewalls at <br /> approximately 10 feet below ground surface (bgs) Samples were collected and analyzed <br /> by GeoAnalytical Laboratories, Inc (Attachment B) Prior to backfilling the excavation <br /> groundwater was pumped into the 6 900-gallon holding tank (Tank A), the quantity of <br /> water pumped to Tank A was approximately 5,300 gallons <br /> Attached is a Ietter from the City of Tracy regarding the water in Tank k (Attachment C) <br /> Per their request. samples were collected on May 11999, and laboratory analvsts of this <br /> stored water was performed and submitted for review (Attachment D) As required. the <br /> water was filtered through activated carbon Prior to doing this, W nsht calculated the <br /> carbon required to filter the contaminants from the water (Attachment E) The water was <br /> pumped through a»-gallon carbon filter and stored in another holding tank (Tank B) <br /> Once this procedure was complete, another analysis was done on the water stored in Tank <br /> B This analysis was performed on May 27, 1999, by Geo Analytical Water analysis <br /> resulted in non detectable concentration of the previously detected contaminates <br /> (Attachment F) These results were submitted to the City of Tracy for review and on June <br /> 30. 1999 verbally permission was received to discharge 5,300-gallons of water into the <br /> City's holding pond for further processing with other municipal wastewater <br /> 67 E 10th Street • Tracy, CA 95376 <br /> 209 833 0758 • Fax 209 832 5152 <br /> wright(a:unreach cam Lic #651501 A-8 HazMat <br /> webstt httP 11home.tnreach comlwrtght <br />
