Wright <br /> Environmental <br /> Services, Inc. <br /> f <br /> September 4, 2000 - <br /> Construction ♦ Engtneenng ♦ Remediation � .. .�w, � i , <br /> ' r 1 3? <br /> Prod ect No 4070 <br /> M & M Automotive <br /> Mr Richard Moe <br /> 60 E 10th Street <br /> Tracy, CA 95376 <br /> Re: Exploratory Boring Soil and Groundwater Sampling Report <br /> 60 E 10th Street, Tracy, CA <br /> Dear Mr Moe <br /> Wright Environmental Services, Inc (Wright) performed the work for the Preliminary <br /> Site Assessment investigation at the above referenced site located at 60 East 10th Street, <br /> Tracy CA (see Figure 1) The purpose of this work is to ascertain the depth to <br /> groundwater, and identify suspected petroleum contaminants in soil and groundwater <br /> near and around the former tank pit areas and monitoring well MW-1 as required by the <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) <br /> in their letter dated July 18, 2000 <br /> Background <br /> One underground storage tank was removed and groundwater monitoring has been <br /> ongoing at this site since 1995 Data from MW-1 showed contaminant presence, <br /> however, off-site borings in 10th Street showed that contaminants were not detected <br /> Monitoring well MW-4 across 10th Street showed only one detection of highly degraded <br /> TPHG Historic data shows that groundwater flows northerly and that the plume was <br /> small and centered at former tank location with contaminant concentrations spiking at <br /> former dispenser area (at the location of former MW-I) <br /> Additional excavation of the former tank pit was performed to remove contaminated soil <br /> and groundwater (see report dated October 10, 1999) This removed some of the residual <br /> contaminants in and around the capillary fringe area Well MW-1 was destroyed during <br /> this work since it had been placed within the former tank pit An estimate of residual <br /> contaminants suggests that only very limited contaminant quantities remained following <br /> this excavation work Wright had recommended that well MW-1 be replaced, however <br /> PHS-EHD suggested an exploratory boring to ascertain whether contaminants remained <br /> prior to installing the replacement well <br /> 67 E 10th Street e Tracy, CA 95376 <br /> 209 833 0758 o Fax 209 832 5152 <br /> wright@►preach com Lic 4651501 A-B HazVat ��� <br /> websst http/lhome rnreach comfwrrght <br />
