R4CESPUBLIIEALTH SEoP ...c
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY =: z
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION a <
Ernest M. Fujimoto, M.D., M.P.H., Acting Health Officer
304 E.Weber Ave., 3rd Floor • P. O. Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388 cq.CiFo P
209/468-3420
August 21, 1995
Re: 9110 Thornton Road, Stockton Site Code: 1886
Former Southland/7-11 Gasoline Station
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division is in the process
of evaluating the former gasoline station located at 9110 Thornton Road for site certification
requiring no further corrective action. Over the last several years, the site has been
investigated and remedial corrective action implemented. The site is now in the
confirmation sampling phase to verify that there are no longer potential threats to
groundwater quality.
Environmental Health sent out notifications in July, indicating that either PHS/EHD or
Groundwater Technology should be contacted to schedule an appointment to have your
well sampled. Soil borings are scheduled to be drilled and sampled this week to evaluate
any possible residual soil contamination.
Please contact me by September 8, 1995 at (209) 468-0337 or Bruce Beale with
Groundwater Technology at (916) 372-4700 to schedule an appointment to have your well
sampled or to discuss any questions. This likely will be the last notice you receive
regarding obtaining permission to sample your domestic well. Should you chose not to
contact either Environmental Health or Groundwater Technology, your well will not be
sampled and site closure may be issued without information from your well. PHS/EHD
encourages your participation so that certification will be based on accurate information
pertaining to site conditions.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
U
Mary Meays, Senior REHS Diane M.
