You will be sending the signed letter <br /> directly to the office that initiates payment of your bills as <br /> this is the only way that office will know of your agreement . <br /> Since you may be paid by different offices , you could receive <br /> more than one copy of this agreement . Please execute each copy <br /> and send it to the designated office. Signing and returning the <br /> letter agreement will not waive any state law reclamation rights <br /> that you may have prior to your receipt of court approved <br /> payments . <br /> If you are currently supplying Southland' s 7-Eleven <br /> franchisees , you should know that as� independent contractors , our <br /> franchisees would not be parties to the filing of the prepackaged <br /> plan of reorganization under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. <br /> If the prepackaged plan is filed, - Southland intends , with court <br /> approval, to immediately assume all of its franchise agreements <br /> and, in connection with such assumption, to continue to make <br /> timely payment on behalf of its franchisees of the franchisees' <br /> trade debts . Franchisee obligations to suppliers arising prior <br /> to any filing of the prepackaged plan will not be pre-petition <br /> debts of Southland. In accordance. with the terms of the assumed <br /> franchise agreements , Southland will continue to be obligated to <br /> make all franchisee approved payments to suppliers , whether they <br /> arise prior to or after any filing. <br /> If you have any questions. regarding this procedure, please <br /> call your usual Southland business . contact or Southland' s <br /> Corporate Credit Department at 214/828-.5500. <br /> We sincerely hope and prefer that our restructuring will be <br /> accomplished without a bankruptcy filing, but we are taking steps j <br /> that we believe are prudent to prepare for such a possibility, if <br /> it becomes necessary in order to facilitate completion of our <br /> financial restructuring.
