<br /> 1994.` Analysis by EPA Methods 601 and 602 were performed in-house at our laboratory. The ;
<br /> results fT.or;the sample from monitoring well MW 1 showed traces of chloroform and levels of BTEX
<br /> r �s.
<br /> in the low-ppb range. Gasoline constituents were detected in the sample from MW1, therefore, this
<br /> sample was further tested for TPHg and'lead-by•FGL=Environmental Laboratory. No lead was
<br /> detected, however, 110 }pb TPHgas gasoline was detected in;the sample. `The results of the sample
<br /> from the domestic well at 9156 Connie Ave. showed traces of carbon tetrachloride and chloroform.
<br /> The results of the'sarple frbm theAomestic-well;at 9172 Thornton Rd. showed a trace of carbon
<br /> tetrachloride.. The other-sam fled wells;!MW9, 'MW 1,l,'"and MW 14, did root contain detectable levels
<br /> ..
<br /> of contamination f Note that MW 11 is.located on the property at 9135 Connie Ave. Table 1 shows
<br /> the contaminants and where they were detected.

<br /> Per the conditions discussed in the meeting-regarding closure.for the facility referenced above,
<br /> Groundwater Technology, Inc., on behalf of The Southland Corporation, is submitting this letter to
<br /> inform you regarding proposed site activities. f
<br /> Groundwater monitoring and sampling at this site is scheduled to be conducted on January 24,
<br /> 1994. Monitoring wells MW-1, MW-9, MW-11, MW-14, Domestic well 9172 (Thornton Road) and
<br /> Domestic well 9156 (Connie Avenue) will be monitored and sampled. According to the discussion in
<br /> the closure meeting, The California Regional Water Quality Control Board-Central.Valley Region
<br /> t (CRWQCB-CVR) will be sampling monitoring wells MW-11 and MW-14, Therefore, sampling will be
<br /> coordinated with.the CRWQCB-CVR: A copy of this letter will be forwarded to the CRWQCB-CVR, to
<br /> inform them of.the scheduled monitoring and sampling date.
<br /> The samples will be shipped� p piled to astate-certified laboratory for the analysis of benzene, toluene,
<br /> ethylbenze.ne, xylenes and total petroleum hydrocarbons-as-gasoline. If-you have any questions,
