Technical Data Summary 3
The Southland Corporation,9110 Thornton Road Stockton,CA Aril 4,1995
RECOMMENDATIONS
' Groundwater Technology recommends site closure for the referenced site based on:
a
■ Separate-phase hydrocarbons have been removed from the on-site groundwater
monitoring wells in the source area.
■ Soil confirmation samples did not contain detectable levels of TPH and benzene. Soil
vapor samples contain no detectable benzene. The highest TPHg concentrations in
air sample are under 74 pg/l.
■ Analytical results from groundwater sampling indicate levels of hydrocarbon
constituents have been at or below California action levels for drinking water since
1989.
■ The surface at the site is capped by uninterrupted asphalt paving, limiting percolation
from precipitation into the underlying soil.
Groundwater Technology requests that the SJCPHS approve closure, and recommend closure to the
CRWQCB-CVR.
Upon approval of site closure, Groundwater Technology will proceed with the abandonment of the on-
site and off-site monitoring wells in accordance with SJCPHS requirements.
ATTACHMENTS
1.
