(Fluor Daniel GTI) has prepared this Work Plan for Groundwater Monitoring Well <br />� Abandonment at The Southland Corporation Store No.20680 located at 9110 Thornton Road in Stockton, <br /> California (Figures 1 and 2,Attachment 1). All site-related groundwater monitoring and vapor extraction <br /> wells will be destroyed in response to a request by Sari Joaquin County Public Health Services(SJCPHS). <br /> Since the wells are no longer needed for environmental monitoring purposes,they will be destroyed to <br /> eliminate the potential for surface liquids to enter the aquifer through the existing wells:' The scope of work <br /> for well destruction is summarized below. - f <br /> Site Specific Health and Safety Plan I Permitting <br /> Fluor Daniel GTI will revise the existing site-spedific Health and Safety Plan for the site as required by the j <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and <br /> Emergency Response"guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120). The document will be reviewed and signed by all <br /> Fluor Daniel GTI personnel and subcontractors performing work at the site. <br /> For monitoring wells located off site, access agreements will be obtained from the appropriate property <br /> owners prior to initiating well destruction work. Attachment 2 contains monitoring well destruction permit <br /> applications from the SJCPHS, along with soil baring logs from each of the wells.
