The samples were collected by field
personnel from Groundwater Technology, Inc. (GTI) on November 19,
1987. A site map illustrating the location of each well sampled
is also attached. As you will note, the laboratory analyses
indicate that all of the wells sampled had non-detectable levels
of petroleum hydrocarbon components with the exception of
domestic wells 91' 1 and 9140. The results from domestic wells
i 9160 and 9140 exhibited concentrations of total xylenes at 3
parte per billion (ppb) each, far below the Department of Health
Services' (DOHS) drinking water standard of 620 ppb. It should
also be noted that the field blank had 3 ppb total xylenes
detected, which leads us to conclude the xylenes results from
domestic wells 9160 and 9140 are probably due to handling of the
samples in the field or laboratory and total xylenes are not
actually present within the groundwater,
r]tlu•Y i#1/v-RIO)Pd-o N-301,CA;T4:111%FL;Mandevdlr.LA \urwi*d,51A:Snvi,1Sl:
M imi.•JLhti,L;ti M1•C 111'Il il',SII:Chwld+Fop(,PA;lhmrn;1,4udw.Canada
