i
7-Eleven/Stockton 5
May, 1989
system consists of four vapor-extraction points connected to a
high-vacuum blower and manifolded to a vapor-phase activated
carbon-adsorption system.
From late 1986 to early 1988, a prolonged decline in the
regional water-table elevation due to abnormally arid conditions
in the Stockton area reduced the groundwater yield fz'om the
groundwater-pumping wells. To improve the recovery volume, a
recovery well (RW-1) was installed on February 1, 1988, and at
the time, the remediation/abatement system's underground lines
and electrical systems were upgraded. Since the installation of
the first monitoring well, monitoring and sampling procedures
have been conducted on a regular schedule, except during
maintenance shut downs.
SCOPE OF WORK
N Services performed by GTI during this reporting period
consisted primarily of regularly scheduled operation and
maintenance of the remediation system, and monitoring and
sampling of the groundwater. Specifically, the following
services have been conducted by GTI since the previous update
report was submitted in February 1989.
o Monitored on-site and off-site wells for depth-to-
product on five separate occasions.
o Sampled groundwater from monitoring wells without free
product and from the nearby domestic wells for
laboratory analyses.
a Maintained the groundwater remediation and soil-vent
systems, including sampling and analyses of the
groundwater-treatment system influent and effluent.
CJ GHM'NDIVaTEH
TF:cIIX H.cK;Y-INV.
f
m.
