ISouthland/Stockton 17 <br /> March 1991 <br /> As drinking water standards have not been exceeded in the sampled domestic wells for two and <br /> one-half years, Groundwater Technology is proposing that the domestic sampling frequency be reduced <br /> Ito quarterly, upon approval of this Work Plan Due to the sensitive nature of domestic well use, the <br /> sampling frequency will remain on a quarterly schedule through the life of the monitoring well sampling <br /> program and for one year beyond Confirmation sampling will be conducted on the domestic wells if <br /> drinking water standards are exceeded during the routine sample analysis <br />' HYDRAULIC CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION <br /> The hydraulic control system has not operated since July 1991, and the system will remain <br /> inactive during the site closure phase of work The pumping wells and associated pumping and water <br /> treatment equipment will be left on site until the extended-year of domestic sampling has been <br /> completed in the event that reactivation is necessary <br /> IREPORTING <br /> I • Status updates will be provided at the same frequency that well sampling is conducted The <br /> status updates will present a summary of the work completed and the data collected When one year of <br /> bi-annual monitoring well sampling has confirmed that drinking water standards have not been <br /> exceeded, then a Notice of Intent will be sent to the San Joaquin County Department of Environmental <br /> Health to cease site monitoring well activities, although the extended-year of domestic well sampling will <br /> continue Similarly a Notice of Intent to remove the soil vent system will be submitted when soil <br /> analyses confirm clean-up of the soils to the 10 ppm TPH level <br /> I A final letter-report will be submitted when one-year of post closure domestic well sampling is <br /> completed, confirming compliance with drinking water standards This letter-report will summarize the <br /> year's activities and request agency approval of site closure <br /> CLOSURE <br /> This concludes the Site Closure Work Plan for the Southland Property located at 9110 Thornton <br /> Road, Stockton, California Any questions regarding the Work Plan should be directed to either Mr Hal <br /> .
