Proposal for of Site Cleanup Confirmation May 5, 1992 <br /> Southland, 7-El even No 20680, 9110 Thornton Road, Stockton, CA 4 <br /> IThe results of the confirmation sampling round conducted on March 30, 1992, reported below <br /> detection limits for all compounds in all wells except MW-1, which had detectable levels as follows <br /> IAnalytical Results for MW-1 <br /> March 30, 1992 <br /> Compound Concentration (ppb) Cleanup Objective (ppb) <br /> I Benzene 0 5 1 0 <br /> Toluene 6 100 <br /> Xylene (total) 0 9 1,750 <br /> TPH-as-gasoline 19 Not Applicable <br /> I The results of this confirmation sampling round suggests that there was either a field sampling or <br /> laboratory error which resulted in false positive analytical results <br /> 2 2 2 Nearby Domestic Supply Wells <br /> Seven domestic supply wells in the vicinity of the site have been routinely sampled on a monthly <br /> basis since December 1988 As presented in the March 1991 report, drinking water standards for <br /> 8TEX compounds were not exceeded between December 1988 and October 1990 Since October <br /> I1990, the concentration of BTEX compounds have remained below detection limits in these wells <br /> Eth-the exception of the samples collected from the Ivy Motel welly Hydrocarbon compounds were <br /> rdetected in the Ivy Motel well on two occasions Drinking water standards were not exceeded on] <br />■ either occasion 1The detection of petroleum compounds in the Ivy Motel well is not believed to be " <br /> �asoctated with the Southland site because (1) the Ivy Motel is located up/cross gradient of thel <br /> I [Southland sqe,-and (2) sampling results from all other monitoring and domestic wells reported all <br /> compounds below detection limits <br /> I <br /> 2 3 Soil Remediation Results Overview <br /> As presented in the March 1991 report, the initial indications that the on-site source area soils had <br /> been remediated included <br /> ■ Reductions in petroleum concentrations in the soil vent system off-gas, <br /> I ■ Reductions in the groundwater hydrocarbon concentrations, and <br /> I <br /> 'GROUNDWATER <br /> �___ <br /> ---TECHNOLOGY INC <br />
