' Project Quarterly Update Report--Revlsion 1 December 30, 1991
9110 Thornton Road, Stockton, California Page 11
GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSES
' Sampling of the operational groundwater monitoring wells (i.e., wells which contained enough water to
sample) was performed once during this reporting period on August 26, 1991. Samples were collected
t in accordance with Groundwater Technology's SOPs 8, 10, 11, and 12 (Appendix B). Groundwater
sampling was conducted by first purging water from each well using a clean polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
' bailer. Each well was purged of a minimum of four well volumes of water by hand bailing, unless the
wells could be purged dry. The groundwater was then allowed to recover to at least 80 percent of the
original static water level prior to sampling. The groundwater samples were obtained using a U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-approved Teflorf sampler.
' Water samples were collected from routinely sampled domestic wells three times during this reporting
period on August 9, August 26, and September 26, 1991. The routinely sampled domestic wells are
listed in Table 2. Additional samples were collected from domestic wells 9147 and 9149 on August 9, as
directed by Southland and a confirmation sample was collected from domestic well 9172 on September
12,
TABLE 2
' DOMESTIC WELL OWNERS
' WELL-`i.0.. .. :I, AaDRI=S C WN....I
9036 (TMG) 9036 Thornton Road Tomato Growers Assoc.
' 1927 1927 Waudman Road Chan
1912 1912 Waudman Avenue Woods
8968 8968 Thornton Road Jehovah Witnesses/
Kingdom Hall
9140 9140 Connie Avenue Shimado
9156 9156 Connie Avenue Snyder
9172 9172 Thornton Road Ivy Motel/Lang
All samples were collected in laboratory-supplied containers, labeled, preserved, and stored on Ice.
Samples were transported under Chain-of-Custody Manifest to a State of California-certified laboratory,
GTEL Environmental Laboratories, Inc.
