Quarterly Project Update Report January 29, 1993 <br /> Southland Store No 20680, 9110 Thornton Road, Stockton, CA 2 <br /> 21 Groundwater Monitoring <br /> IThe DTW in the groundwater monitoring wells was monitored on December 23, 1992 The <br /> monitoring data are presented in Table 1 Groundwater in the monitoring wells was allowed to <br /> I stabilize to the static level before monitoring water levels The DTW and depth to separate-phase <br /> hydrocarbons were measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the top of the well casing, using an <br /> INTERFACE PROBET" Well Monitoring System Groundwater monitoring was performed according <br /> to Groundwater Technology's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) Copies of the SOPs are <br /> included in Appendix A <br /> Analysis of the groundwater monitoring data Indicates that groundwater elevations In the monitoring <br /> wells at the site have increased approximately 1 foot since September 24, 1992 As of December <br /> 23, 1992, the average groundwater elevation at the site was 36 30 feet below mean sea level (MSI_), <br /> Iand the average DTW at the site was 48 26 feet below grade <br /> Since the groundwater levels at the site were first monitored In May 1986, the local groundwater <br /> elevation has fluctuated seasonally and steadily declined overall Groundwater monitoring wells <br /> MW-2 through MW-5, MW-10, and former pumping well PW-2 could not be monitored on December <br /> 23, 1992, because they were dry Monitoring wells MW-6 and MW-12 are no longer In service and, <br /> at Southland's direction, monitoring wells MWA1 and MWA4 are no longer being monitored or <br /> Isampled The well completion data and current status of the monitoring wells at the site are <br /> summarized in Table 2 <br /> A potentiometric surface map (Figure 3) was prepared using monitoring data collected on December <br /> 23, 1992 Figure 3 shows a groundwater flow direction to the ortheas ith a gradient of <br /> approximately 0 003 foot per foot During this reporting period, a sheen of separate-phase <br /> hydrocarbons was detected on the groundwater surface in monitoring well MWA <br /> I <br /> H1211A2 AH <br /> r <br /> — 1� ],' <br /> '�,�LGROUNDWATER <br /> L];TECHNOLOGY, INC <br />
