Ile Project Quarterly Update Report December 14, 1992 <br /> Southland Store No 20680, 9110 Thornton Road, Stockton, CA 4 <br /> Water samples were collected from domestic wells 1912, 8968, 9036, 4140, 9156, and 9172 on July <br /> 30, August 27, and September 24, 1992 The addresses and owners of routinely sampled domestic <br /> wells are summarized in Table 4 Analytical results for groundwater samples collected from <br /> domestic wells reported no BTEX or TPH-G concentrations above the MDLs The analytical results <br /> for the groundwater samples collected during this quarter are summarized in Tables 3 and 5 <br /> Copies of the analytical laboratory reports are included in Appendix B The historical TPH-G <br /> laboratory results for groundwater samples collected from the monitoring, pumping, and domestic <br /> wells are presented in Appendices C and D <br /> 3.0 REMEDIATION SYSTEM <br /> I The groundwater extraction and treatment system at the site consists of a pumping well designed to <br /> depress the groundwater surface and remove separate-phase hydrocarbons and an air stripper <br /> designed to remove the petroleum fuel constituents dissolved in the extracted groundwater <br /> The groundwater extraction and treatment system experienced a mechanical breakdown in October <br /> Ile 1990 as reported in the January 1991 Pra ect Quarterly Update Report At Southland's request, the <br /> system has not been reactivated because of the following analytical results <br /> INo detectable TPH-G concentrations in the groundwater samples collected from any <br /> ■ of the monitoring, pumping, or nearby domestic wells between January 1991 and <br /> IMarch 1992, except monitoring well MW-1 and domestic well No 9172, <br /> ■ No detectable BTEX concentrations in groundwater samples collected from <br /> monitoring, pumping, or nearby domestic wells between April 1991 and March 1992, <br /> except domestic well 9172 during August and September 1991 and April 1992, and <br /> monitoring well MW-1 in March 1992 <br /> Southland has requested the San Joaquin County Department of Health to place the groundwater <br /> treatment system in dormant status with reactivation criteria based on changes in water quality data <br /> This concludes Groundwater Technology's Project Quarterly Update Report for the Southland site at <br /> I9110 Thornton Road in Stockton, California If you have any questions or need additional <br /> information regarding this site, please contact our Concord office at (510) 671-2387 <br /> I <br /> I R1211A1 RH <br /> - i 1*14;ROUNDWATER <br /> TECHNOLOGY, INC <br /> I <br />
