9110 Thornton Road, Stockton, California November 15, 1993 <br /> The Southland Corporation Page 3 <br /> monitoring and pumping wells are presented In Attachment 2 The historical TPH-G laboratory <br /> results for groundwater samples collected from the domestic wells are presented in Attachment 3 <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from domestic wells 8968 (Kingdom HaI0, 9036, 1912, 9140, <br /> 9156, and 9172 (Ivy Motel) on July 29, August 30 and September 30, 1993 Analytical results of <br /> groundwater samples collected from the domestic wells did not report TPH-G or BTEX <br /> concentrations above MDLs (fables 3 and 5) The addresses and owners of routinely sampled <br /> domestic wells are listed in Table 4 Copies of the analytical laboratory reports are included in <br /> Attachment i The historical TPH-G laboratory results for groundwater samples collected from the <br /> monitoring and pumping wells are presented in Attachment 2 The historical TPH-G laboratory <br /> 1 results for groundwater samples collected from the domestic welis are presented in Attachment 3 <br /> CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Groundwater monitoring data recorded on September 29, 1993, indicate that groundwater levels <br /> have increased approximately 1 2 feet in the monitoring wells at the site The apparent groundwater <br /> flow direction beneath the site is generally to the east <br /> Laboratory analysis of the samples collected on September 29 and 30, 1993, detected dissolved <br /> hydrocarbons only in the groundwater samples collected from monitoring well MW-1 at low BTEX <br /> concentrations Laboratory results of groundwater samples collected from domestic wells 8968, <br /> 9036, 1912, 9140, 9156, and 9172 on July 29, August 30 and September 30, 1993, reported BTEX <br /> and TPH-G concentrations below MDLs for all samples analyzed <br /> Based on the results of assessment and remediation activities conducted at the site to date and on <br /> the results of the soil confirmation boring program conducted at the site in January and February <br /> 1993, Groundwater Technology requested site closure, submitting a Closure Report, dated May 21, <br /> 1993, to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) On July 12, 1993, Groundwater <br /> Technology received comments from the SJCPHS concerning the request for site closure in a letter <br /> ' dated July 9, 1993 In their letter, the SJCPHS denied site closure giving specific items of concern <br /> Groundwater Technology has reviewed the items outlined in the SJCPHS letter and responded in <br /> writing on September 30, 1993 A meeting is currently scheduled on December 15, 1993 with <br /> SJCPHS to determine closure measures for this site <br /> GROUNDWATER <br /> TECHNOLOGY <br />
