GROUNDWATER <br /> '�L�!I� TECHNOLOGY INC. <br /> 1401 Halyard Drive Suite 140 West Sacramento CA 95691 (916)372-4700 <br /> FAX(916)372-8781 <br /> October 31, 1995 <br /> Mr Bob Vasquez <br /> The Southland Corporation <br /> 3146 Gold Camp Road, Suite 300 <br /> Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 <br /> Subject Third Quarter 1995 Monitoring and Sampling Report <br /> Southland Site No 20680 <br /> 9110 Thornton Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> GTI Project No 02070 0133 <br /> Dear Mr Vasquez <br /> This letter describes the methods and results of monitoring and sampling activities performed by <br /> Groundwater Technology, Inc during the third quarter of 1995 at The Southland Corporation <br /> (Southland) Site No 20680 located at 9110 Thornton Road in Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2, <br /> Attachment 1) A summary of activities conducted during this reporting period is provided below <br /> Depth to water (DTW) was gauged in 21 groundwater monitoring wells and four former <br /> pumping/recovery wells <br /> ■ Groundwater samples were collected from 18 groundwater monitoring wells and the <br /> four former pumping/recovery wells The samples were submitted and analyzed for <br /> benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons-as-gasoline (TPH-G) <br /> Groundwater samples were also collected from 5 privately-owned domestic wells and <br /> analyzed for BTEX and TPH-G <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Data <br /> Groundwater monitoring was conducted on September 6, 1995 The wells were gauged to determine <br /> DTW and to check for the presence of separate-phase hydrocarbons (SP) The wells were monitored <br /> using an INTERFACE PROBET"' Well Monitoring System, which uses a dual optical sensor/conductivity <br /> probe to distinguish between water and petroleum products A potentiometric surface map was <br /> generated using data from top of casing elevations and DTW measurements (Figure 2) <br /> Offr<c%thluughnul W, i ', C cn ada euid Or,r%,a, <br />
