Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: Healy Property, 9172 Thornton Road, Stockton, California (Figure 1)
Dear Ms. Lagorio;
I
RESNA Industries, Inc. (RESNA) is writing to present a summary report outlining the activities
utilized to assess possible petroleum hydrocarbon contamination of the soil beneath the former
product lines and in the former tank area at the above referenced site. This report also outlines
the previous site investigation (collected from available information).
SITE HISTORY
On September 9, 1987 four underground storage tanks (two waste oil, one unleaded and one
leaded gasoline) were removed under direct supervision of San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Services from the above referenced site. The waste oil tanks were 500 gallon tanks and
the gasoline tanks were 4000 gallon tanks.
f
During tank removal activities one soil sample was collected for laboratory analysis from
beneath each tank. The soil samples collected from beneath the waste oil tanks were analyzed
for benzene, toluene and xylenes (BTX), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), total purgeable
halocarbons ("halogenated volatile organics," HVO) and total volatile petroleum hydrocarbons
(TPH). The sample collected from beneath the leaded gasoline tank was analyzed for BTX, total
lead (TL), ethylene. dibromide (EDB), and TPH. The sample collected from beneath the
unleaded gasoline tank was analyzed for BTX and TPH.
1,012293.FNL
