Some of the areas in which work,is performed may be known to <br /> have high crime rates and instances of violence. The following is a list of suggestions to <br /> help protect Smith Technology field personnel and subcontractors while working in these <br /> areas: <br /> Always be aware of your surroundings. <br /> Racial slurs and derogatory comments should be avoided. <br /> ,a <br /> i <br /> Do not carry large amounts of cash on your person. <br /> Do not give any money to pan-handlers, as this encourages others to approach <br /> you. <br /> Do not leave belongings unattended or in vehicles which are unlocked. <br /> Leave the site before dark, when possible, and do;not leave anyone alone on-site <br /> after dark. <br /> If work is anticipated to continue after dark, a light tower and security guard should <br /> be considered. <br /> Drive with windows up, doors locked, and avoid stopping in areas that you are <br /> unfamiliar with. <br /> ALWAYS REMEMBER: ' <br /> YOUR LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING ELSEIII <br /> This is only a partial list.
