INTRODUCTION <br /> j, Smith Environmental Technologies Corporation (Smith Environmental) is pleased to present <br /> this report of the results of the 1996 annual groundwater monitoring conducted at the subject <br /> site located in the City of Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site plan (Figure 2) shows the <br /> location of the station building, adjacent streets, monitoring wells, and other site-specific <br /> 1 features Background information on the site was included in Appendix A of the semiannual <br /> groundwater monitoring report for June 1993 (RESNA, August 1993) <br /> The monitoring wells are sampled semiannually to monitor <br /> the shallow groundwater <br /> underlying the site The program objectives are listed below <br /> • Measure depth to groundwater <br /> • Sample and analyze groundwater samples for specified petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> constituents <br /> • Construct a groundwater elevation contour map <br /> • Construct a groundwater total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D), total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) and benzene concentration map <br /> • Compare p e current and past data <br />' The existence and degree of petroleum hydrocarbons in theunder) i <br /> roundwater <br /> 9 underlying the site is <br /> evaluated by (1) the presence of free-floating product and (2) laboratory analyses of <br /> groundwater samples to determine concentrations of TPH-D, TPH-G, benzene, toluene, <br />' MVSW 194 281kQUIK 120 RPT 123 Apr Be] SWftH <br />
