The results from the
December 18, 1991 laboratory analysis were reported as follows
Ethyl
Well Benzene Toluene Benzene Xylenes TPHG TPHD
MW-1 <0 5 <0.5 <0.5 <0.5 <50 <100
MW-2 <0.5 <0.5 <0.5 <0.5 <50 <100
' MW-3 <0.5 <0 5 <0.5 <0.5 <50 <100
Results m parts per billion(jig/L)
' <0 5 Not detected at or above hsted practical quanptation hmit for the method
Discussion
' Groundwater in the monitoring wells at the site was measured on September 11, 1991
at depths ranging from 44 68 to 45.62 feet below the existing ground surface. These
depths correspond to elevations of 33.40 to 33 60 feet below mean sea level based upon
available survey data. The apparent groundwater surface rose between 1.40 feet to 1.421
feet since the previous sampling. Groundwater contours show a gently inclined
' groundwater surface with a predominant flow direction to the east at a gradient of
approximately 0 0020
The December 1991 analytical results revealed that no petroleum hydrocarbons have
been detected in any of the groundwater monitoring wells. This is the fourth
consecutive quarter of nondetectable results at this site
' The next quarterly groundwater sampling at the site will be conducted in March 1992.
P g
Recommendations
TPHD, TPHG or BTEX has not been detected in any of the on-site wells for the past
' four quarters. In compliance with the LUFT Manual guide lines, it is the
recommendation at RESNA that Quik Stop be permitted to discontinue quarterly
monitoring of this location and begin semi-annual sampling for a period at one year If
TPHD, TPHG or BTEX are not detected in these two samplings, Quilt Stop should be
permitted to discontinue sampling at this site.
