26485 THORNTON ROAD <br /> WKA No 2556 02 <br /> August 18, 1994 <br /> Page 2 <br /> The samples were immediately placed in an ice-chest with ice and submitted under chant-of- <br /> custody to a California-certified laboratory for analysis of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) <br /> as gasoline using EPA test method 8015, and Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Total Xylenes <br /> (BTEX) using EPA test method 602 <br /> The two-inch diameter submersible pump was cleaned prior to purging each well with a solution <br /> of trtsodtum phosphate and distilled water to minimize the potential for crass-contammatton All <br /> water removed during sampling and purging operations was placed to sealed and labeled 55- <br /> gallon drums and stored on site. <br /> No free product or sheen was observed to monitoring wells MW1, MW2, or MW3 Analytical <br /> results of water sample MW1 revealed no detectable concentrations of TPH as gasoline or <br /> BTEX Analytical results of water sample MW2 revealed TPH as gasoline concentrations of 330 <br /> µg/f and trace concentrations of toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene Analytical results of water <br /> sample MW3 revealed TPH as gasoline concentrations of 100 µg/P and trace concentrations of <br /> ethylbenzene and xylene Analytical results for the ground water samples obtained from the <br /> three on-site monitoring wells are summarized to Table 2 Complete analytical results and chain- <br /> of-custody documentation are included to the Appendix <br /> The third quarter of ground water sampling is scheduled for August 22, 1994 A summary of <br /> our findings will be transmitted upon completion of laboratory testing Please call if you have <br /> any questions regarding this report <br /> Wallace ■ Kuhl & Associates, Inc <br /> r - � <br /> urt Balasek Eric Hubbard <br /> Senior Staff Geologist Registered Geologist #4807 <br /> KB EH sdm rbn <br /> NNM <br /> WALLACE KUHL <br /> Recycled paW &ASSOCIATES INC <br />
